About

A Denver-based chapter of Sweet Adelines International, Skyline began with 20 singers in 1962 and now enjoys more than 100 members. Directed by the dynamic and talented Master Director 700 Vickie Maybury, the women of Skyline enjoy a love of singing and an enthusiasm for sharing the joy of music.

In addition to its many performances in and around the Denver metropolitan area, the chorus is the 2022 Sweet Adelines International Silver Medalist.

Who

Women of all ages and backgrounds make up Skyline Chorus. We are: high school/college students, dancers, actors, teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, homemakers, grandmothers/mothers/daughters and we have a spot on the risers for you! We meet weekly to hone our craft and to create harmony. We invite you to stop in on a Tuesday night for our rehearsal or come to one of our performances to experience the enthusiasm and positive energy "live" and in person.

What

We enjoy performing for and giving back to communities all around the Denver metropolitan area.  Skyline shares our joy of music and the gift of time to give back to our communities in a variety of ways.

  • Local performances throughout the metro Denver area including free community performances ranging from neighborhood gatherings to singing the national anthem for Rockies games.
  • The Skyline Heartsong Foundation which offers a free festival to benefit and empower young singers ages 12 to 25, to help them grow personally and professionally through the study and performance of vocal music.
  • In September 2017 and June 2018, Skyline participated in meal packs for Colorado Feeding Kids.  During these packs alone, 20,000 meals for children were packaged and shipped to local food banks in the Denver area.

Competition

Skyline has represented Denver exceptionally in the Sweet Adelines International organization.  Skyline has been the Region 8 champion in each competition year since 2001.  We compete at the international level as well, most recently placing 2nd in the world at the 2022 Sweet Adelines International Convention in Phoenix.
