Directed by the dynamic and talented Vickie Maybury, the ladies of Skyline enjoy a love of singing and an enthusiasm for sharing the joy of music. The chorus is the 2014 5th Place International Medalist and sports a repertoire that includes gospel, pop, show tunes, old ballads that tug at your heartstrings and of course traditional barbershop melodies.
A Denver-based chapter of Sweet Adelines International, Skyline began with 20 singers in 1962 and now boasts more than 130 members. Region 8 Champions in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013, Skyline recently competed at the International Competition in Baltimore, placing 5th.
Women of all ages and backgrounds make up the Skyline Chorus. We are: high school/college students, dancers, actors, teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers, homemakers, grandmothers/mothers/daughters and we have a spot on the risers for you! Under the leadership of our gifted director, Vickie Maybury, we meet weekly to hone our craft and to create harmony. We invite you to stop in on a Tuesday night for our rehearsal or come to one of our performances to experience the enthusiasm and positive energy "live" and in person.
